Euro Cup 2020 contenders

Ruud van Nistelrooy, Paul Gascoigne, Thierry Henry, Zinedine Zidane, Sergio Ramos, Roberto Baggio, Peter Smikel. Reminding these football greats, another Euro Cup is starting from today.

Callien Mbappe, Joe Felice, Phil Foden and Ferran Torres are ready to play in this year's Euro Cup This time the Euro Cup is full of young talent. The Euro Cup is also known as the Mini World Cup.

There is going to be competition between 24 teams in the competition which is going to be organized in 11 countries.

The 24 countries are divided into six competing groups. There are 4 teams in a group, the first 2 out of 4 teams will be directly in the last 16.

The remaining four countries will advance to the last 16 as the best third team based on their scores. The third team from two of the six teams will not advance to the next round. I am presenting a small glimpse of my feelings about this year's Euro Cup. This is my very personal opinion.

a) Portugal

Coach - Fernando Santos
Captain - Cristiano Ronaldo

Portugal is the previous winner of the Euro. Portugal made history by scoring against France in the last minute of the 2016 final. Interestingly, this team finished third in the group stage and advanced to the second stage.

It was also the first major title Ronaldo won from Portugal.

This time Portugal is still a strong team. On paper, Portugal is considered very strong. Portugal will feature Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandez and Bernardo Silva.

Player to Watch - Bruno Fernandez

Manchester United midfielder Fernandez will be Portugal's special weapon. At United he had a very good game this season.

Fernandez has scored 28 goals in 58 games for Manchester United this season.

He will also provide passes to Portugal's star players Ronaldo and Diego Jota. With Ronaldo's experience and the young Bruno Fernandez's magical play gaining momentum, Portugal will win the Euro Cup for the second time in a row.

b)France

Coach - Didier Deschamps Captain -
Hugo Loris

France, considered a strong contender, is aiming to win the Euro this time. France has recalled Karim Benzema after six years.

The French team is full of star players. Paul Pogba and Angolo Cante will handle the French midfield.

The duo have not lost a single game since launching for France in midfield.

France's main weapon will be Killian Mbappe. Mbappe is also claiming the golden boot of Euro this time.

Player to Watch - Killian Mbappe

23-year-old Mbappe must shine if France is to succeed in the Euros.

His style of play is exemplary for the present generation. He is also a strong contender for this year's Golden Boot.

Playing in France's starting XI, he plays the role of left winger. He is especially known for his fast pace.

c) England

Coach - Gareth Southgate Captain - Harry Kane

The England team looks the strongest on paper this year. Under Harry Kane's captaincy, England will enter the field with a 4-3-3 formation.

The English team's midfield is full of great players. Great midfielders like Rice, Henderson, Mount, Phillips, Bellignham, Graialis are in the England team.

But criticism of the English coach has not stopped.

England supporters do not consider Southgate a skilled coach. The team will not be successful if their player selection, decisions made on the spot are slippery. Although England have always looked strong, the Euro Cup title has yet to be won.

England have a strong chance of winning the Euros if they come out with a different strategy this time around.

Player to Watch - Harry Kane
English captain Harry Kane is a strong contender for the Golden Boot of the Euro Cup. He is also the winner of the Golden Boot in the Premier League.

If Kane leaves, England will have a good and strong presence in the Euro Cup. Kane has a good midfield in the Euros this time around. That is why the English team looks very strong.

d)Germany

Instructor: Joachim Lo

Captain - Manuel Noyer

Germany's game is greedy in every big competition. This time in Euro, Germany is almost certain to enter the formation in a formation with 3-4-3.

Thomas Mरller and Matt Hummels have been named in the eight-man squad for Bayern Munich.

The German team has looked very impressive. The game itself is, the team must still be tormented by the memory of being out of the group stage in the 2018 World Cup.

The German team has influential players like Noir, Mरller, Kimmich, Rudiger and Sane. Germany, one of the main contenders for the Euros, has signaled it will bid farewell to coach Joachim Loew after the Euros.

Player to Watch - Joshua Kimmich
Munich's talented player Kimmich always looks strong in midfield.

Kimmich is equally influential in the right back and midfield if the team needs him, he will join Tony Kruse and Gundogan in the midfield this time.

If Kimmich's fortunes changed and his presence transformed the game, will the Germans forget former player Meroslav Klose this time around?

e)Spain

Instructor- Luis Enrique

Captain- Sergio Busquet

The Spanish team has been very surprised this time. Not a single Real Madrid player has been named in the squad. If his absence proves to be a problem, the coach may have to face a lot of criticism.

New faces have appeared in the Spanish team. This time, it is almost certain that there will be American Laporte and Pau Torres in the defense.

Torres had just won the Europa League from Villarreal, while Laporte had won the league from Manchester City.

This time Spain's front line will be handled by Villarreal's Gerard Moreno. Spain are now in a dilemma after captain Busquet tested positive for a corona.

Player to Watch - Thiago Alcantara is a Liverpool midfielder known as Thiago. Few players like him understand the game, pull the ball and tackle at the right time.

Thiago also excels in the league and in Spain. His style of play is very different from other midfielders. There is no dispute that Spain's fate will be tested according to Thiago's game.

In the end , no one expected Greece to reach the final of the 2004 Euro Cup. And maybe Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo will beat Portugal. In this sense, football is also a game of uncertainty.
